Students in year 8 enjoyed an engaging World War One workshop hosted by Frontline History who visited the Catholic High on 1st March. Through the learning experience, students in year 8 deepened their knowledge about how the war began and why so many British men volunteered to serve their King and country.
Some of the students also had the opportunity to handle artefacts and replica weapons as well as trying on the uniforms from different countries involved in the war. The day helped to enhance the students’ understanding of this conflict and complement the classroom teaching of this topic.
